Curator's Corner - Visitors Speak Up

Curators conduct scholarly research on topics related to history, science, and medicine for the exhibition program at the National Library of Medicine. Curators conduct and supervise research, develop themes for exhibitions, select images and artifacts and write exhibition scripts. Writing the script for an exhibition requires a great amount of detailed background research, much more than can be included on the exhibition panels. In this section curators share their experiences, discuss exhibitions, and examine selected artifacts and images from exhibitions in detail. Visitors Speak Up

Young visitors post their comments at the Against the Odds: Making a Difference in Global Health exhibition.
Seven young people stand in front of the comment board at the exhibition variously writing on post it notes, posting notes on the board, and reading notes.

One of the goals of Against the Odds: Making a Difference in Global Health is to motivate people to get involved. To help them make a start, visitors are asked which stories have inspired them and how they could make their own contribution. After touring the exhibition they post their answers on a comment board. Read some of their responses to two questions below.
